Via ferratas is the best way to discover the highest peaks of the Dolomites in a safe way. The Via Ferrata can be translated as “iron roads” and it is a series of metal steps, ladders and suspension bridges fixed to the rock. This allows the non climbers to experience the thrill of rock climbing in a much safer way. You will get to exposed areas with breathtaking views. We can provide a harness and anybody without vertigo can try.
The first via ferratas were built during the First World War to aid the movement of mountain infantry and you can still climb many of the historic via ferratas. Nowadays there is a wide network of via ferratas throughout the Dolomites and you can choose between different difficulty levels. Some are short and easy for beginners (even children from 8 years), other require more physical fitness and climbing experience.
